10 Stunning Metallic Epoxy Design Ideas for 2026
By Marcus Whitfield, Lead Installer Β· Published March 5, 2026

Metallic epoxy is more popular than ever in 2026. Here are ten design directions we're installing across Gainesville this year.
Why metallic is having a moment
Metallic epoxy moved from niche to mainstream in 2025-2026. Better pigments, faster polyaspartic topcoats, and Pinterest-driven design awareness mean we're installing 3x more metallic floors today than we were five years ago. The 'no two floors are ever identical' aspect is a huge draw for clients who want something genuinely custom.
1. Deep Ocean
Three shades of blue β deep sapphire, mid teal, and silver β poured in long flowing strokes to mimic ocean currents. Stunning in dim spaces because the silver reflects what little light there is. We've installed two Deep Ocean floors in Haile Plantation this spring.
2. Molten Copper
Burnt orange and copper pigments with black accents create lava-flow patterns. Particularly popular in man caves and home bars. Looks especially good with industrial lighting overhead.
3. Soft Pearl
Subtle whites, creams, and silvers β almost monochromatic β for clients who want metallic sophistication without bold color. Reads as 'expensive marble' from across the room.
4. Black Galaxy
Deep black base with white, silver, and a hint of purple swirled in. The most dramatic look in our portfolio. Looks like staring into deep space.
5. Forest Floor
Deep greens, browns, and bronze β earthy and organic. Beautiful in basements, sunrooms, and cabin-style spaces. Subtle enough to live with long-term.
6. Sunset Desert
Burnt orange, dusty pink, and gold. A southwestern color palette that works surprisingly well in Florida homes with neutral walls.
7. Storm Cloud Gray
Three grays plus white in cloud-like swirls. Perfect for modern minimalist garages, gyms, and showrooms. Probably our best-selling 'safe metallic' design.
8. Antique Bronze
Bronze, copper, and brown create an aged-metal look. Popular for restaurant floors and high-end auto showrooms.
9. Tropical Lagoon
Teal, aqua, and white β beachy and bright. We've installed several in pool houses and beach-themed bonus rooms.
10. Solid Color + Single Metallic Accent
For clients who want a calm base with a hint of drama β solid white or black with a single accent pigment streaked through. Subtle and elegant. Growing fast in 2026.
