Gainesville Epoxy Pros is a family-owned, locally operated epoxy flooring contractor based in Gainesville, Florida. We've been installing concrete coatings across Alachua, Marion, and Columbia counties since 2014 — over a decade of working exclusively in North Central Florida concrete conditions.
Our Story
The company started in 2014 when our founder, Marcus Whitfield, walked away from a national epoxy franchise that prioritized quick installs over real quality. After seeing dozens of floors fail in Florida humidity because the corporate playbook skipped moisture mitigation, Marcus opened a one-truck operation focused on doing it right — diamond grinding every floor, testing moisture vapor on every install, and standing behind a real written warranty. Word of mouth in Haile Plantation and Newberry grew the business steadily, and today our crew of seven installs hundreds of floors per year from our shop at 2847 NW 43rd Street, Gainesville, FL 32606.
What Makes Us Different
Three things, consistently. First, we diamond-grind every floor. Acid etching is faster and cheaper but it doesn't actually open the concrete profile for a permanent bond — and it's the single biggest reason cheap epoxy jobs fail in Florida. We've invested in commercial-grade ride-on grinders and HEPA dust extractors so we can do it right on every project.
Second, we test moisture on every install. Florida concrete pushes water vapor 24/7. We set out calcium chloride test dishes during grinding so we have actual measurements before specifying primer. Most contractors skip this entirely; the result is white-blistered, peeling floors within 18 months.
Third, our warranty is real. Five years, in writing, covers materials and workmanship, transfers to new homeowners at no charge. We've honored every warranty claim since opening — usually within 7 days of the call.

Most service calls and warranty work are within a 45-minute drive of our shop.

We sponsor little league baseball in Newberry, donated the locker-room flooring to two area high schools, and routinely discount work for first responders, military veterans, and active-duty service members.
